**Update May 29 – Galaxy S3 will have 2GB of RAM for North America models!! **
**Update May 20 – Galaxy S3 pre-orders have hit 9 million world wide - Korea Economic Daily**
The Samsung Galaxy S and S2 are two of the best selling phones in the world (30 million +sold) and there is no doubt that there will be a Galaxy S3 coming very soon (June). Of course the Galaxy S3 will have to really bring some impressive specs to keep the competition at bay and all the release specs sound like Samsung will manage this task.
There are several impressive features on the new Galaxy S3 that include: S-voice, quad-core processor,4.8-inch Super AMOLED, video pop up play.
I’m going to start with what I dreamed about that a phone could do one day…that is the pop up video play. This feature allows you to have a video box over anything else you’re doing on the phone. It’s like a picture in picture TV. You can be reading email, typing an email or texting and the video will be playing in a window over your application. You can easily move it around where you’d like…just like a desktop computer.
Galaxy S3 S-Voice
Samsung has taken Android voice commands to the next level with the S-voice system. You can now open any application with your voice! You can ask it questions like the iOS siri. You can command it to control all aspects of your music and type out text messages with ease. Yep, you can even unlock your phone with your unique voice.
S-voice is the ultimate remote trigger for your camera…just use your voice to control the shutter and take pictures without any timers or need for someone to press the button.
Galaxy S3 S-Beam
S-beam is a simple way to transfer files from one Galaxy S3 to another. You simply bump the phones up to each other and select the files you’d like to transfer and the files beam to the other phone wirelessly.
One of the 2012 high end smart phone trends has been a big boost in the megapixals the cameras have. Samsung has kept the Galaxy S3 camera at a respectable 8MP and really this is all you need to take some great snapshot photos. The difference between 8MP and 12MP is probably not enough to be worth the extra space each picture will take up on your storage. The Galaxy S3 burst mode should be fun to play with with up to 24 shots per second! You can shoot video and then take snapshots while you’re taking the video just like the HTC one x.
